End Game understands the ability to overcome pain - we once worked with someone who walked around for two weeks with a broken leg and have watched 24 on numerous occasions - but there are limits.
However is appears that one can lose a limb and fail to notice. A Japanese man out on his motorcycle one afternoon recently banged into a central barrier. He somehow managed to fail to notice that the collision had severed his right leg below the knee and rode on for another mile despite being in excruciating pain. It was left to a friend to pick up the missing limb and reunite it with the man, but too much damage had been caused for the two to be permanently reacquainted.
Elsewhere, a Malaysian man has been arrested after police discovered that despite practising as a dentist for almost 30 years, he had no training in the profession at all. The closest the man had got was carrying the bag of a dentist who visited the homes of plantation workers in the 1960s and 70s. Having got a taste for what he saw, the man carried out extractions and denture work in addition to diagnosing and treating problems with the teeth of his unwitting patients.
Officials seized a medley of drugs and equipment, including a large 1940 examining chair, that had been discarded by the Malaysian army in 1978. The man faces a fine of up to 30,000 ringgit (about£4,300), a six-year jail term, or both.
