PERFORMANCE: NHS Sussex, the county’s new primary care trust cluster, held a public consultation exercise this month to improve its non-urgent Patient Transport Service.

Patients, the public, clinicians and providers were invited to give their views at a series of meetings in August, in order for the new service to “be designed to meet the needs of the people that will use and need it”.

NHS Sussex project lead Wendy Mahoney said: “It is important to us that the improved service meets the needs of those who use it.”
