FINANCE: NHS North Somerset has agreed to pay Weston Health Trust an additional £600,000 for over performance above the value of its contract.
At the end of December the trust was over performing against plan by £1.1m, equivalent to 2.7 per cent.
Taking into account factors such as financial penalties and contract limiters this figure was reduced to £450,000.
Board papers said that, following negotiations, NHS North Somerset had agreed to pay the extra £600,000, taking into account forecast activity.
However, there is still concern relating to the level of over performance against its contract with NHS Somerset, which currently stands at £311,000 for the year to December.
