FINANCE: Whipps Cross is over-performing by more than £1m on its contract with NHS Newham, according to a report from the East London and City Acute Commissioning Unit
Newham’s contract with the out of sector acute is worth £9.4m but it is currently performing at £10.4m.
The report said day case and outpatient admissions accounted for most of the difference.
The report also listed a £481,000 overperformance at University College London Hospitals Foundation trust and a £459,000 overperformance at the Royal Free.
The acute commissioning unit said savings might be returned to the commissioners through successful challenges to some areas of the clinical outcomes data.
