PERFORMANCE: The trust was among the 10 worst in the country on referral-to-treatment waiting times in September, according to the Department of Health’s latest quarterly report.

The second publication of The Quarter for 2011-12, released today, showed that Wirral was below the minimum threshold in five out of five RTT indicators in September 2011. Only 73.7 per cent of admitted patients were treated within 18 weeks, against a target of more than 90 per cent.

“These organisations must improve their performance as quickly as possible,” the report stated.
