• Sue Noyes will leave Coventry and Warwickshire ICB to chair partner trust
  • She has held various senior roles, including as chief executive of East Midlands Ambulance Service

An acute trust in the West Midlands has appointed a new chair from its neighbouring integrated care board.

Sue Noyes will take up the role at University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire Trust on 1 February and leave Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board, where she was joint deputy chair.

Ms Noyes is also deputy chair of Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Foundation Trust and she is expected to leave this role at the end of the month too.

She replaces Jerry Gould, who took on the role on an interim basis after Dame Stella Manzie stood down in September after four years to “pursue personal projects”.

Ms Noyes’ 30-year senior career in the NHS includes her roles as chief executive of East Midlands Ambulance Service between 2013 and 2016, a six-month stint as acting chief executive at Leicestershire Partnership Trust in 2013, and several financial director posts. She has a background as a chartered accountant.

Ms Noyes has also recently been chair at Coventry College, The Ambulance Staff Charity and Safeline, a sexual violence and abuse charity based in Warwick.
