The judges of the HSJ100 2022, who were excluded from consideration to be on the list, were:

  • Saffron Cordery, interim chief executive, NHS Providers
  • Ian Dodge, outgoing national director of primary care, community services and strategy, NHS England

  • Alastair Henderson, chief executive, Academy of Medical Royal Colleges
  • Sarah-Jane Marsh, chief executive, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Foundation Trust and chair, maternity and children transformation boards and national health and social care discharge taskforce, NHS England
  • Dr Kathy McLean, chair, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Foundation Trust and Nottingham and Nottinghamshire integrated care board, and former medical director and chief operating officer, NHS Improvement
  • Louise Patten, ICS Network director, NHS Confederation
  • Salma Shah, partner, Portland Communications and former special adviser to Sajid Javid, Home Office
