What a load of circuitous BS arguments and factors. All credit to HSJ for elucidating them all but am I the only one who sees that the overall solution must be 'system-wide' approach instead of this hopeless, endless sub-division into the smallest, most profitable units and to hell with the rest? The SoS and the DH are abrogating their responsibility for sorting out this mess. As a taxpayer it is infuriating. How absolutely dare they waste my taxes in this way. Why must all Trusts become 'Foundation Trusts? Why? It's rubbish: they just all need to work: the FT label means the square root of nothing for patients. Why are all the comments on HSJ so bland and accommodating? What is wrong with you all? People need to get angry and say it like it is. You can even do this anonymously. At least I trust HSJ does not quietly leak identities...........
