NHS trusts are exploring the benefits of outsourcing outpatient pharmacy dispensing to an independent provider. Transferring dispensing to an on-site pharmacy similar to a high street offering has been shown to deliver financial savings, productivity increases and improve patient experience.
This questionnaire, run in partnership with the The Co-operative Pharmacy, seeks to assess how widely these benefits are understood and explore the barriers at trust level to outsourcing outpatient dispensing.
