The Care Quality Commission currently sits safely in the knowledge it comes top of the list when anyone types the acronym CQC into Google.

The regulator comes out ahead of the Chelsea Quilt Company, which makes bulletproof vests and other protective equipment, as well as Cambridge University’s Centre for Quantum Computation. But it was not always so.

CQC chair Barbara Young recently revealed that, back in April when the commission was fresh and new, those trying to seek it online would have been directed to Close Quarter Combat - described as an “awesome scripted action adventure game”.

Presumably the confusion worked both ways - without implying NHS regulation isn’t exciting, End Game can’t help but feel there must have been a lot of disappointed computer geeks out there.
