FINANCE: The strategic health authority for the capital has confirmed that is transferring £2.2m from the bundle funding for mental health to fund its cancer programme.

As HSJ has previously reported, the move will see the money available for mental health service delivery projects slashed.

Minutes of NHS London’s delivery group said: “The group approved a transfer of £2.2m from bundle funding for mental health to the cancer project, in line with the priorities approved by the board.

“This transfer followed a detailed process of challenge and scrutiny of the bid and was made on the basis that the mental heath programme could still be delivered under more streamlined management arrangements.”
