SERVICES: People who use sexual health services in Hertfordshire are being asked what they think about the services as part of a consultation process.
From April 2013 Hertfordshire County Council will commission all open access integrated sexual health services including confidential services offering contraceptive advice and provision, the screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infection, HIV diagnosis and treatment and information on pregnancy termination.
The new service is likely to require more creative and innovative, as it will need to maintain quality while meeting demand in a tight financial climate.
NHS Hertfordshire has commissioned an independent consultancy to develop and execute a consultation process. The aim of the consultation is to update the sexual health and HIV commissioning plan for Hertfordshire for the next five years.
