Interest in patient process re-design has been growing rapidly over recent years, particularly with the development of initiatives such as booked admissions and the Cancer Services Collaborative.

Birmingham University's health services management centre is planning to put together a database of NHS organisations with recent or current experience of using patient process re-design to improve access and quality of care.
