Twice as many people demanded an independent review of their complaint last year because it was not resolved at local NHS level, according to a new report by the Healthcare Commission. The commission, which handles complaints that the NHS cannot resolve, received over 8,000 requests for review last year, compared with 3,700 the previous year.
