Enfield council has launched an inquiry into why local people perceive mental health service provision to be of a low standard.Over the next two months the council will look into how the borough provides support for patients with mental health problems, scrutinising hospital and community mental health and councilprovided services.Councillor Frances Ingham said: 'Enfield is widely perceived as having a poor record on mental health. I hope this inquiry will raise its profile by examining the performance of this important area and lead to a better service for the people of Enfield.'
