NHS work patterns need to change if hospitals are to attract more female doctors, according to a report from the Royal College of Physicians. Male doctors are also beginning to reject traditional career patterns in favour of increased flexibility, it says. It wants to see more opportunities for women to work part-time or a reduced number of sessions.
