A study of race inequalities in the NHS has called for the creation of personal development plans for GPs and professional development plans for all general practice staff. The plans would review whether practices are meeting the needs of patients, including those from black and ethnic minority communities. The study - commissioned by the Department of Health - also suggests that national service frameworks should make explicit references to the needs of black and minority groups.
