Trust chief executives should give 'personal attention' to issues surrounding the ordering of temperature-controlled food over the millennium holiday, according to NHS Executive guidance. The circular warns that there could be 'increased demands on suppliers of frozen food' in the run-up to the holiday and sets out deadlines by which orders for frozen food, fruit and vegetables, poultry, bread and milk should be made.
