Health service ombudsman Michael Buckley has expressed concern that the health service appears slow to learn from problems identified by his office in the past. In his latest report detailing 47 investigations completed between April and July, Mr Buckley said: 'Regrettably, the cases that appear here suggest that some of the problems I have commented on in the past continue to arise.'The ombudsman highlighted ongoing difficulties with investigation and handling of complaints, with 11 of the 47 cases involving complaint-handling.As in earlier reports, a high proportion of cases investigated concerned health organisations in London.
