STRUCTURE: Bassetlaw Primary Care Trust’s community services, which had been due to become part of Rotherham Foundation Trust, will now go to Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust instead.

A report to NHS Yorkshire and the Humber’s board on mid-year progress in the region says: “All [the region’s Transforming Community Services transfers] have been achieved as planned, excluding the transfer of NHS Bassetlaw community provider services to Rotherham Foundation Trust.

“These services have achieved the required level of management separation.

“However, as a result of recent discussions with Monitor, Rotherham have requested a delay to April 2012 for the full staff transfer of NHS Bassetlaw community provider services, which is not acceptable.”

Bassetlaw staff have been informed the transfer will instead be to Nottinghamshire Healthcare.

Community provider arms were meant to be separated from PCTs by April this year.

Rotherham Foundation Trust has already taken on community services from Rotherham PCT and Doncaster PCT under Transforming Community Services.
