WINNER: Moorfields Eye Hospital FT: Virtual A&E

Moorfields Eye Hospital has delivered the first a virtual eye A&E service, to give patients access to eye care they need remotely during the pandemic. A remote A&E allows patients to see ophthalmologists without the risk of catching or spreading covid-19 when travelling to the hospital. Almost eight in 10 patients have been able to get the treatment they need without travelling into hospital, with 95 per cent of patients giving the service they received a maximum rating of five stars. The software used was Attend Anywhere, which has facilitated virtual waiting rooms and the video consultations.
