PERFORMANCE: Pennine Acute has failed against its target of having no cases of MRSA in 2013-14, its latest performance report states.
The trust reported one case of MRSA in April and another in August.
The report said the number of cases of C Difficile reported by the trust was also above its planned trajectory for the year to date. The trust reported 27 cases between April and August, against a planned trajectory of no more than 25.
The report added: “Work continues to ensure that the basics of care are priorities for all clinical staff along with the implementation of infection control policies and procedures.”
