Time will tell. You might find a lot of people on the lists have passed on, or that after this is over non-electives will be much lower as the frail have perished. Together with extending some of the practices put in place recently it might even give the headspace to gun through the most urgent cases and get the lists back under control. I suspect certain COVID-free hospitals will start to go through urgent cases in the next few months. One thing at a time though.
