PERFORMANCE: The south London mental health trust is tendering a contract worth between £400,000 and £500,000 for security devices worn by service users when off the trust’s grounds.

The tender notice said: “The first element is for the rental of secure non-removable monitoring devices which will be worn by service users whilst off the trust’s grounds.

“The second element of the requirement is for the monitoring and tracking of service users (who are wearing the devices) via Global Position Systems (GPS) Service users are medium security offenders and mental health patients based across two sites in London.”
