PERFORMANCE: South Western Ambulance Service Foundation Trust is reaching fewer life threatening calls within the eight minute target in Somerset than any of the other four counties it covers.

Overall the trust is exceeding the target for attending 75 per cent of the most serious Category A calls within eight minutes. However, in Somerset only 72 per cent of calls are reached within the timeframe.

In Cornwall this is 74 per cent, while performance is much stronger in Devon and Dorset at around 78 per cent.
