Today HSJ launches a tool to help senior clinicians and managers across the service provide more effective and efficient patient care.

HSJ Solutions is a unique database containing the very best practice in the NHS.

Healthcare leaders from all sectors and disciplines can use it to find workable and evidence-based solutions to the most pressing challenges and to make informed investment decisions for the future.

Every solution featured in this database has been validated by leading NHS figures as part of the intensive judging process which is an integral part of HSJ’s awards programmes. All the solutions are drawn from shortlisted, highly commended or winning entries from the HSJ, Value or Patient Safety awards.

The fully searchable database will be updated monthly with the latest entries from the awards programmes.

HSJ editor Alastair McLellan said: “HSJ Solutions offers healthcare leaders a place to learn from their peers who have faced similar challenges. Now, more than any other time, it makes sense to share that knowledge.”

The database shares insights into key areas of strategic importance, for example how to optimise patient safety, workforce productivity or learning.

Adele Waters, executive editor, said: “HSJ Solutions is all about being helpful, creating a best practice community to share practical solutions. Providing clinicians and managers with the right evidence to support their ideas for service change can help them make a more confident case to the board.”

HSJ Solutions is the best shortcut to identifying workable solutions to the most significant challenges in the NHS. It is available on subscription to all NHS organisations and those supporting them. You can learn more about this new service at https://solutions.hsj.co.uk/
