Great Ormond Street runs an apprentice scheme aimed at employing people from the local community. To improve its environmentally friendly credentials the trust has recently installed a new form of water treatment which uses copper and silver ionisation to kill the legionella bacteria which allows it to run water at a much lower temperature.
