Courses and resources targeted at anyone seeking to prevent the spread of infection

Relias UK has released a digital toolkit opening up free, unlimited access to online training courses and other resources to help prepare for and prevent the spread of coronavirus. The courses are primarily designed for health and care professionals but they contain useful information for anyone seeking to prevent the spread of infection, and can be worked through in a browser without the need for any special software, a log-in or providing any personal details — so the digital toolkit can be shared with colleagues, family and friends. Click here to access the free courses and other resources.

Kay Krafft, Incoming CEO of Relias and CEO of the Bertelsmann Education Group, said: During heightened awareness surrounding covid-19 and the flu season, Relias remains committed to assisting individuals and healthcare personnel worldwide, by providing free unrestricted access to a variety of training classes and other resources. These tools include practical advice and best practices from our staff of medical professionals, trainers, and other subject matter experts, designed to help those on the frontlines of care and to support patients across the spectrum of wellness.”

The online courses include training on infection prevention and control, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), and transmission-based precautions. The digital toolkit also includes free, un-gated access to relevant Relias publications, links to official guidance from the NHS and World Health Organisation, and other sources of help.

Managing Director of Relias UK, Hatham Al-Tafari, said: “In addition to providing free access to our relevant courses and other media, we wanted to point to some resources that could help with the secondary impacts of the coronavirus outbreak. Social distancing, isolation and anxiety over our health and the health of our loved ones can put pressure on our mental wellbeing, so in our digital toolkit media we have also included links to mental health resources such as signposting tool Hub of Hope and free online training from the Zero Suicide Alliance.”
