How the NHS can use data to better meet patient needs as it responds and recovers after covid

Ming Tang, the national director for data and analysis at NHS England and Improvement, was one of the panellists who took part in an HSJ webinar on 10 November.

The webinar, sponsored by PA Consulting, looked at how the NHS can use data to better meet patient needs as it responds and recovers after covid.

Joining Ms Tang on the panel were James Sumner, chief executive of Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust, and Jenny Lewis, a healthcare expert from PA Consulting.

The webinar looked at how using data has helped the NHS to become more agile as it has progressed through the covid pandemic and draw out examples where individual organisations have used information particularly well.

It also explored whether NHS trusts and clinical commissioning groups are restricted in their response because of any gaps in data and how information sharing between partners, such as in an integrated care system, can help.

This event took place on Tuesday 10 November 2020.
