Quangos to be slashed and administration cut

It said: “We will cut the cost of NHS administration by a third and transfer resources to support doctors and nurses on the front line.”

The document also promises a “significant cut [in] the number of health quangos” and “reducing duplication and the resources spent on administration”.

But as part of the GP contract renegotiation it said it would find a way to incentivise better access to primary care for the poor.
