Watch HSJ’s free webinar: How can NHS organisations support the financial wellbeing of employees?

Research shows the majority of UK workers are concerned about their financial wellbeing, regardless of their income level. These money worries – and the resulting financial stress – can affect performance.

Healthcare staff are no exception. This can have serious consequences for NHS organisations attempting to maximise their productivity and deliver consistently excellent patient care.

HSJ recently held a free webinar to discuss the extent to which NHS employers can and should support staff’s financial wellbeing. Run in association with Salary Finance, an accredited financial wellbeing provider to the NHS, the panel was chaired by ex-Sky News health editor Nicola Hill.

She was joined by former pensions minister and independent pensions expert Baroness Ros Altmann; Paul Wallace, director of employment relations and reward at NHS Employers; Helen Undy, director of the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute – a charity founded by Money Saving Expert’s Martin Lewis; and Dhiren Master, chief marketing officer and insights director at Salary Finance.
