Do you know HSJ, that's a very kind offer. Unfortunately I have an appointment to stick red-hot needles into my eyeballs on that day, and frankly, I'd rather go through with that than listen to Lansley speak.

It will be good to see and hear him in public as it's become a bit of a case of "Where's Wally?" in the last few months. I've only heard his ministers talk recently - Simon Burns debated with Andy Burnham on R4 at lunchtime - unless I've just had the misfortune to miss him on TV or radio. Obviously the benefits of the White Paper are so self-evident that there's no need to go out and sell them.

Hearing him speak isn't much of a draw, given what he's had to say so far has been arrogant ill informed drivel. Now if the offer was that he would LISTEN rather than speak......

OK everyone. let's queue up for 'Lansley I-Spy'. See who can spot the most use in his speech of the words and phrases:
- empowerment
- local
- bureaucracy
- red tape
- pen-pushers (though you get extra points if you hear Anne Milton using this in any fringe speeches)
- no top down targets or solutions
- arms length
- PCT failure
- any praise at all for managers (this is a triple word score)
Any other takers ?

I have listened to him on more than two occasions.Nothing, same CD again and again. It is high time he listens......the white paper is fundamentally flawed and will end in teares....This will surely prove graveyard of his carrier....
