Veterans Trauma Network 

The Veterans Trauma Network is the first specific provision in the UK for veterans with physical healthcare challenges. Its veteran-centric, ground-breaking approach aligns the resources of the NHS, Ministry of Defence and military charities to deliver holistic care focused on the veteran and their family. Innovatively, it integrates physical health, mental health and social care provision. Founded in 2016, the VTN is hosted by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. It was designed by veterans and is delivered by teams with military experience. It aims to help make the UK the best place in the world to be a veteran. The judges found this entry to be a shining example of collaboration and partnership working which demonstrated a cost-effective approach to providing holistic veterans healthcare across England.
