HSJ Awards 2022: Primary and Community Care Provider of the Year

Primary Care Sheffield is the GP Federation for Sheffield, a not-for-profit provider set up and developed by general practice to support the delivery of high-quality care in the city. Its vision is to deliver world-class primary care which helps people live healthier and happier lives. Despite challenging circumstances and constrained resources it has grown rapidly to ensure it can deliver high-quality, at-scale services as well as a series of eye-catching initiatives which are leading the way for change nationally. “The team presented a cohesive story of improvement which reaches regionally and nationally,” said judges. “They clearly understand the difference between equal service and services to address inequalities with the work they are doing. They evidently understand their communities and are focused on and will continue to develop services to best meet the needs of their residents.”
