Labour MP opposing A&E closure returned
Mike Gapes has won Ilford South for Labour.
The sitting Labour MP opposed losing the accident and emergency department at King George Hospital in a re-organisation of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust.
Whoever takes over as health secretary will find the Independent Reconfiguration Panel’s report on their desk after it was referred by Redbridge borough council’s health overview committee.
