WINNER: North West Ambulance Service Trust: Building a Smart, Connected Ambulance Service

The North West Ambulance Service Smart sites programme has seen a range of digital innovations and technologies implemented at a number of ambulance stations to deliver the most efficient processes for our staff. Staff now benefit from interactive digital wallboards, which enhance communication and engagement, and ultra energy-efficient smart lighting, which follows the circadian rhythm, providing optimal working conditions throughout the day. The project has seen staff nurture a culture of improvement: sharing ideas, investing in improvement as part of their daily work and finding ways to work more safely, efficiently and with improved wellbeing.
