Safer NHS Care Through Integrated Gambling Harm Support

The Primary Care Gambling Service (PCGS) is an NHS-integrated service that has improved access to evidence-based treatment for gambling-related harm in primary care settings. Over the past five years, it has developed a scalable national model that fills a significant gap in provision for those affected by gambling harm, delivering measurable improvements in clinical outcomes, health equity, and system integration. Through clinical excellence, strong partnerships, and a commitment to reducing stigma and inequality, the PCGS has demonstrated how primary care can respond effectively to gambling addiction.
