The Digital Neighbourhoods Programme

The South West Digital Neighbourhoods Programme has pioneered a scalable, system-level clinical risk management approach (CRMA) to enable the safe, efficient deployment of AI-enabled tools in primary care. Originating from the rollout of BRAVE AI – a predictive risk assessment system, the CRMA streamlines the complex DCB0160 assurance process by providing shared, templated frameworks for multiple organisations. This collaborative model reduces duplication, builds local capability, and embeds digital safety into everyday practice. Already adopted by 45 primary care networks across seven integrated care systems, the approach enhances safety, confidence, and consistency, empowering staff, accelerating innovation, and improving patient outcomes at the regional and national scale.
