Adopting AI to improve access to London’s U&EC services
To enhance patient access and streamline care, we have implemented AI-powered natural language processing (NLP) to support London’s urgent and emergency care (U&EC) services. This deployment enables faster, more accurate triaging through digital platforms, reducing wait times and improving patient flow. By interpreting patient call reasons efficiently, the AI system ensures timely guidance and directs patients to the right place of care. Early results demonstrate significant improvements in service performance, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes, illustrating how AI can transform healthcare delivery in a complex urban environment while supporting clinicians and operational efficiency.
