Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board: Using AI to Detect Skin Cancer Earlier and Transform Patient Experience in Primary Care

This SBRI-funded project delivered a community dermatology pathway within two localities of the ICB to provide an accessible community diagnostic service with the use of Skin Analytics’ AI technology, whereby a patient is given a diagnostic clinic appointment with the outcome of the test and plan available within days of the appointment. The North East Essex model is delivered by the local GP federation across three sites, with a self-referral pathway, (including screening) bookable via GP websites using a QR code. This pathway brings multiple providers, innovations and technologies together to create a seamless community skin pathway.
