The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Foundation Trust: My Appraisal

In response to feedback from staff and data highlighting the need for improvements to its existing appraisal system, the trust embarked on a transformative journey in 2023. The goal was to co-design and develop a new digital appraisal system that would improve the quality of appraisals, harness technology to effectively analyse appraisal data for workforce intelligence and alleviate the administrative burden on staff/managers. They created My Appraisal, a cutting-edge digital solution designed to support meaningful appraisal conversations. The system has driven remarkable outcomes, including increased staff satisfaction, enhanced appraisal quality and significant improvements in the NHS Staff Survey.
