Liz Leggott, South Yorkshire Primary Care Workforce & Training Hub

The issues around primary care training are many: lack of capacity to teach, lack of experienced supervisors, lack of facilities and space, the outdated reputation of a job in primary care and lack of investment in training, despite the long-term workforce plan targets… to name but a few, say organisers. Liz set out to prove that with the use of digital tools, some of these issues could be mitigated. The purpose of the project was to find out whether harnessing innovative technology enhances clinical education and resolves some of the issues faced in delivery in primary care.
