CORE Kidney Initiative

The CORE Kidney Initiative in Cheshire and Merseyside addresses the growing challenge of chronic kidney disease through improved primary care detection and standardised testing. Its CORE4 pilot trained 370 staff, reviewed 41,000 records, identified 315 new cases and flagged 427 patients needing treatment changes.

Aligning with NHS priorities for prevention, community care, and digital innovation, the programme is now ready for expansion.
