Safety in Real Time: Transforming Patient Safety through our Digital Quality Oversight System
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Trust has overhauled its approach to patient safety by implementing the InPhase digital platform, replacing multiple legacy systems with a unified technology solution. The trust says that the new system brings together incident reporting, risk management, complaints handling, clinical audit and patient safety monitoring into a single interface with real-time dashboards. This integration allows staff to identify and address safety risks more proactively.
Working with frontline teams, the trust co-designed workflows to capture data in real time, which it says has enhanced visibility of safety issues across the organisation and improved response times. The trust claims the implementation has empowered staff, delivered better safety outcomes, and established a new approach to technology-supported quality assurance. The work has gained national recognition for innovation in patient safety.
