Empowering Young Voices: The Heart of Our CYPMH Services

Children and young people’s mental health services at the trust have been transformed through meaningful co-production. After young people highlighted the need for greater involvement in their care, the leadership team established a dedicated co-production and engagement team to ensure their voices are embedded at every level of service delivery.

Through sustained engagement initiatives, the trust has positioned young people as equal partners in service design and delivery, which has strengthened trust and driven meaningful change. Co-production now sits at the heart of North London FT’s decision-making and service transformation processes, ensuring its mental health provision genuinely reflects the needs of the children and young people it serves. This approach demonstrates the effectiveness of not just listening to young people but actively involving them in creating a culture of shared decision-making and continuous improvement.
