Adult Community Mental Health Fundamentals of Nursing Care (FoC) Standards: Transforming Depot and Clozapine Clinics

This project in adult community mental health services is improving care for around 1,400 patients who attend depot and clozapine clinics. The initiative aims to enhance patient safety, experience and clinical oversight while reducing the burden of clinical audits. It was developed collaboratively, drawing on national guidelines, local safety data and feedback from patients.

The nursing standards specifically address health inequalities faced by people living with psychosis, with evidence-based approaches to tackle issues such as obesity and smoking, while also improving clinic attendance. This project demonstrates how nursing leadership can deliver more equitable, high-quality care to vulnerable patient groups through data-driven interventions.
