Certified Minds National CYP Mental Health Training Programme for Paediatric NHS Teams

Certified Minds has partnered with the NHS to deliver a clinician-led educational programme aimed at transforming how paediatric and emergency teams respond to children and young people experiencing mental health crises. The three to five-day multidisciplinary course combines evidence-based learning, live simulations, and reflective practice to build practical skills, confidence, and compassionate care among frontline staff. More than 40 NHS paediatric teams across the country have received the training, which focuses on real-world techniques including de-escalation, risk management, and trauma-informed care. The programme is designed to strengthen workforce resilience, reduce hospital admissions, and help ensure safer and more consistent mental healthcare across the NHS.
